I'm not out trying to change anyone's spelling. I don't urinate into the wind either.
I was making an observation about a very common misspelling and wondering if it might result in a change to the language.

So "amn't" is a substitution for the word "ain't", eh? Well, if the latter is acceptable, then I guess the former might as well be...
Have you actually seen someone spell that out? Or is that just how a person might pronounce it?

Someone did not fully realize the implications of the thread they created.
Not reading the link is also quite common on the Internet.That link indicates that "payed" is obsolete, with certain limited exceptions that don't appear to be relevant here.
Seems they're both acceptable
I've never heard "am't" in my life
