Just seen the Lemmy movie

Hello, TB

I have a question to Lemmy fans.
So I`ve just seen the Lemmy movie, and while it was awesome, it also was quite sad for me, which I didn`t expect. Most of all, it left me curious about Lemmy`s flat - not a house, not a mansion, just some flat in LA filled with memorabilia and trash, 50/50. Half of the movie consists of people praising him,his music and his work ethic, still Lemmy says a 900$/month flat is all he can afford. How is that even possible?
Did he sink all his money into his collection of WWII swords and uniform?
I thought that when your band gets that big it`s like you win at life forever.

Lemmy also says he doesn't see the point in owning large mansions, you can only be in one room at a time.

Not everyone you see as "famous" is rich and even everyone who appears as rich is rich.
Being happy, living how you want to, and living to a relatively old age AND STILL GOING is plenty.
I do wonder how long he'd have gone if he'd have taken a bit better care of himself.

Having the mansion(s) and lots of overhead expenses is a burden unless you enjoy paying the tax assessor a large rent check(aka property tax).

I don't recall him saying that's all he could afford. His pre-qualification list when looking for a room was how close to the Rainbow it was, and he scored, because it's very close.

Lemmy got his mail at the Rainbow, instead of at his apartment. To say he spent a lot of time there would be an understatement.

He was there to meet the fans. He even told me that I could find him there most nights, and he wasn't kidding.
