I wonder how one of these would perform on an h clamp? It's got the gooseneck so you could get it right where you want it. Looks like it's got more weight on the body than on the head so it wouldn't cause the H clamp to rotate and twist and fall. The frequency response chart shows a slight roll off in the lows but that could easily be compensated for with EQ. Earthworks microphones are generally very highly regarded. They also make some gooseneck microphones to clip on drum sets also that I have the same thoughts about:
