Just...wow...

Awesome...

Reminds me of thread i had here about my own bees... It was closed because someone got upset about me killing bees...

:crying: tears of sorrow :crying: I'm surprised that such people (hardcore vegans) are given any power. Survey says: no one cares about bugs.

My broseph and I did something similarly dumb to a hornet's nest when we were 15. When our super soaker plan failed, we knocked the nest down with rocks, threw a gasoline filled balloon at it, and torched it.

I read recently that honey bees are dieing from some strange disease. Something like a bee version if AIDS.

Have to wonder why the bees didn't fly off when they felt 5000 degrees of heat under them? :hmm:

Bees are social animals so they have a lot of contagious diseases, just like us. They're threatened in a number of ways.

They didn't leave because they were protecting their new queen in the middle of the swarm. When a hive becomes too crowded some of the bees leave with a queen to found a new colony.

Wow, that's pretty cool.

And I'm being totally serious, love learning stuff like that.

Burning??? :scowl:

Empathy is about the mirror neurons in the brain. If you can not empathy,it is because your brain is NOT working properly.A part of the brain is not WORKING!

Hmm I wonder if the caveman could emphaty? :p

Would you empathize with a plant? Bees may be animals, but they are brainless. I know plenty of people who can empathize with other humans, dogs and other 'higher' animals, but do not care at all about insects. I would go as far as to say that this is the normal state of affairs. Although my insect burning days are long behind me, I still think that the perpetrators of this 'bee Holocaust' are just normal (redneck?) guys.
