Justin, Seeing those pictures of the flood in your studio still bugs me to this day. I was curious if there was an update as to what's going on with your studio? How much of the soaked gear survived? I hope there was some kind of sliver lining to the whole thing. Still my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine what it must have been like to open the door that day.
Ugh...it's so complicated. But it's getting there. Thanks for asking. Later this week, I take delivery of an API 1608 new console, which is cool even though I would have rather gone vintage (the insurance company will only purchase new items). However, as far as new consoles, I like them pretty well and will be sure to get some good use out of it. The studio has been rebuilt. They're just painting trim and cleaning this week. Most of my rack gear has been repaired, but some items are still in need of repair/replacement. I think that within three weeks everything will be done including some new furniture. I hope. I'm starting a new record in two weeks, so I'm stressed. But it'll all work out somehow. Best, JMJ
None. Lost the console, two synths, some outboard, all the furniture. Everything else was repairable.
Sorry to hear about your loss man. That sucks, for certain! On the bright side, no life was lost. Glad none of your basses got it! Cheers! Ben
