Hello, i’m selling my old Juzek bass I acquired through a trade almost a year ago. The previous owner had paid 8k. The bass has been repaired at LA bass works in the past. It is a 3/4 size, E flat neck, and has a 41.5 string length. Let me know if you’d like to meet up or have any questions!

A full back pic including the button area detail would be nice. Straight on pics are best!

Not sure to be honest, I wasn't given an approximate age for it.

    I'd guess 40's or 50's.

I would consider trading for another bass as well. I play more classical so I would prefer a bigger bass with a D neck.

    Fellow Bottom-Feeders:
This is an unsolicited message on behalf of the bass. I was with it and the seller on August 29. We met at one of the foremost bass shops in the country, and I paid a modest fee to have the proprietor check it out. It was given a "clean bill of health." The fingerboard is a tad thin (for me, at least), and the Eb neck has always been an impediment (for me, again). Structurally it is fine. It's punchy, easy to play, and would make a fun jazz bass - if only there were gigs to play. It looks like it was once a school bass, but is in reasonably good cosmetic condition. You could easily spend twice this amount for a Juzek. It's still tempting. Please, someone, buy it.

I'd agree with '40s-'50s. I've always heard that Juzek moved to Germany after WWII, and this appear to be from about the same era as mine, which is in that range.

Mine has the same label, too. 40's to 50's IME. Somebody buy this.
