Double Bass Juzek Hybrid

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with or even seen a Juzek hybrid from the Czech days? I might be picking one up next week and I have no knowledge of them. I've seen 1 or 2 posts of a person stating that they knew of someone else that had seen one but not that they themselves had verified.

What do you think would be the value range on something like this? I have done a little research on ply Juzeks. There is one for sale in NY with a asking price of $1,500 and it has not sold after being listed for a few weeks. Seems to set a ceiling for 100% ply basses. They seem to come from later years and differ from the carved basses in overall appearance. I have seen lots of fully carved Juzeks and they, for the most part share somewhat of a resemblance to each other. We have all seen their asking price at $4,000 and above. This bass appears to have a carved top (in pictures) but I am pretty sure the back is ply. Just looking for some additional input. I have scoured the forums but am looking for someone with some more insight. I think it has a Prague label and could be a larger bass 7/8 +/-.

Here it is. I'm going to take it in to my Luthier soon for a set up, possibly a new bridge and to see how healthy it is. I got a good deal, but I wonder how good? Anyone ever seen one of these from this time period. How old do think it is?

So I bought the bass. It's a full ply bass but has a Czech label. Also, it has a label stating the bass bar was replaced in 58. Anyone ever heard of a Juzek Ply like this. Most that I have seen have been German. Pics to come. A mod could change the subject name to Juzek Ply.

I think the Juzek plys were made by Lang, if they were ever in Czech, I don't know. Labels can be unrelated to the bass...

A Juzek label can be put in any bass.

I understand this and the fact that I have never seen another full ply like this my be evidence of that. From it's overall wear I estimate that it is old (as in at least 40-50 years)and the fact that the other label is directly beside the Juzek label might mean it was there when the repair was made. Who knows? It could be a fake too. The bass could be built by elves from petrified macaroni and cheese leftovers. I wasn't there.
