Double Bass K and k bass max jack attachment

Hey there, I just got a K and K bass max. Even though installation is very basic i have 2 questions. I need to file the bridge a bit to fit it, should I file the leg side or the wing side? Also when I attach the jack attachment between the a and d strings it pulls the strings in a bit, is this ok in regards to how the string travels over the bridge, ie it is on a slight angle, will that effect set up at all or is it not a big deal.

I have tried searching this but as I use the iPhone app it is hard to filter to get specific results.

The wing side should be filed.

The jack attachment shouldn't bother the strings at all. There are many PUP designs that use that style of bracket.

Ok thanks for that. Yeah, I was aware of other pick ups using this sort of attachment. I guess I was overly paranoid about the strings being pulled in a bit affecting something further up the board. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'm going to try it with my sans amp bass driver as well as straight into the PA. Looking forward to messing with it.
