Double Bass K&K Big Twin placement

I am about to have K&K Big Twin pickup.
I have question about pickup mounting. Picture for reference:

To which side I should mount active part of pickup? Upper (A) or bottom (B)?

Any advice about mounting pickups? (I have never done it before)

The Big Twin doesn't mount there - I assume that you mean the Bass Max pickup?

If you do, in fact, mean the Bass Max, the pickup can be inserted in either orientation - the Bass Max has one piezo element on EACH SIDE of the pickup. So you'll have a pickup in contact with both the upper and lower surfaces of the bridge wing, no matter which way you orient the pickup.

If you buy/bought the pickup from me (Gollihur Music), you receive our tips (which supplement the K&K instructions) for getting the best sound and fitment. If you didn't buy it from me, email or PM me and I'll forward you a copy by email. That should help you out with questions like this. Just make sure you specify which pickup you're actually getting. ;-)

Thank you again for answer. Without it I will place my pickup incorrectly.

PM me with your email address, and I'll send your our tip sheet on the Double Big Twin (the four-element version of what you've purchased) - it will offer some useful tips for you to get the most out of it.
