<a href="http://s281.photobucket.com/albums/kk227/warhero138/?action=view&current=kahler-7400-bass-trem.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk227/warhero138/kahler-7400-bass-trem.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

the questions are:

how much would they charge to carve out some of the body to fit in the tremlo and

do i have to change the nut... my bass has the Brass nut

and... its gonna look pretty cool huh

you'll have to have the neck reinforced.

NO! You will not, thats just not true. Your neck will be fine.

You can keep the brass nut, but a graphite, or derlin(slipstone, to stewmac) would be better, for holding tune, the strings are less likely to snag on the nut this way.
Also of note, the lighter the strings you use, the more the the range on the pulls, I use Thomastic Jazz rounds on one, and they have a very high range.
The strings will stay in tune well, once you break them in. Breaking them in is easy though, just use the bar quiet a bit after installing new strings, and keep retuning every now and then, they'll hold pitch in no time.

os there any other tremlo bars u guys would reccomend/?

Hipshots are supposed to be very good, but I have no experience with them. Also if you go with Kahler, make sure to get the rear facing saddles, that bass dosn't seem to have a great amount of room behind the bridge.

Edit: Looking again, if you go with Hipshot, the bass will look closer to stock, the bridge seems to be a similar style to Hipshot.

Just my two cents worth; if you haven't bought the bridge yet, don't. If you have bought it, send it back.

You have a nice bass, learn how to get the tone / pitch out of it with your hands. (Pre-bend & release!)

If you just have to have a bass with a tremolo buy a cheap bass and have it installed. It should sell well on E-bay if you discover you don't like it & you can keep your old favorite.
