Kala UBass Megathread, Part 5

After playing around with different digital amps I returned to my good old Little Mark 250.
I liked the GK MBX 112 aluminum cab, but the two I tried made the same collateral pathological noises in the first octave of E, F and F sharp. A leading GK guy mailed back, that they are probably not able to produce a cab 'according to my needs'....
So I made a similar homegrown one with an Eminence Basslite S2012 mounted in a sealed enclosure of about 30 liters with heavy lambswool fill. Material is 15 mm birch plywood, total weight about 8 kgs.
Nice tight sound, should be sufficient for small venues.
The bass response of vented cabs in my opinion tends to get unprecise with the fat low end of the UBasses and besides there is no need for tweeters with a piezo PU...

The big deal is a great looking bass, with onboard electronics, coming stock with the best strings for this type of bass - at a significantly improved price point. It's a very big deal - at least to people in this thread who actually Enjoy uke basses.
