Double Bass "Karmann" model German bow

The Karmann model was developed by the Pfretzschner family and Leonhard Karmann, former solo Bass of the Bavarian state opera, in the very early 20th century. They are modeled on violin bows by Voirin with extremely high heads, large frogs, and significant camber. I know the original bow that Uebel copied and several players who play on his copies. Very fine bows all around!

There is a Facebook group called “German bass bows” with lots of information about fine older German bows like these.
