Well, well, well... they certainly kept that a secret. It certainly wasn't on the website when I looked at it, shortly after they started up again. Sam Ash is a dealer; I will be talking to them this Saturday. 31" is technically a short scale, and it would fill an empty spot in my herd... Got my military retirement check today, too...:whistle:

EA-250 Epi-2.jpg According to their website? Yeah, they are... the bridge is pinned to the body, like the one on my MIJ Epi EA-250 guitar... I'm guessing the Kay needs Medium scale strings - which I have a bunch of...:cool:

Yeah. My comment was made being mindful of the thread on the DB side where you and I were posting about those Hofner bridge saddles. That was the context for my remark here. Only here I committed the Orwellian double folly of thinking sloppily and then writing sloppily.

Yeah, you can - if you don't wait too long to do it. There is definitely a time window for editing a post, but I don't know exactly how long it's open. I'm sure somebody does, though...:cool:

It was terrible.

Even though almost 40 years have passed I still wince at the thought of it.

There was only one redeeming feature of those Kays, they were so bad 99.9% of owners gave up playing after a week. Those who could endure longer would be bass players for their entire life. Think of it as survival of the fittest.

$100 is an awful lot of money to spend on an ornament. These are not musical instruments, just objects with strings.
