Double Bass KC Strings End Pin

Hi,
Forgive me if this has been covered, but I didn't find anything too recent in my searches...
Is any one using the KC Strings wood with carbon fiber rod end pin?
I've been thinking about switching to a carbon pin, and this seems like a nice choice... any thoughts?

Yep, it's been covered.
On my bass it gives a warmer, fuller tone. Good for arco, but less clear for pizz. Do an advanced search.

I have three of them in each one of my basses. ALL of them have been improved significantly with this endpin. However in some laminate or hybrid basses the endpin has a rather negative effect and the steel rod works better.

I imagine that would make things very stable, having three endpins in each bass...gotta be hard on the end block, though.
