Keanu Reeves

I saw Dogstar at a festival in Scotland a few years back. The tent was absolutely packed for the half hour before they came on and for the first ten minutes while they were on, then it emptied really quickly. Curiosity is a wondeful thing... ;)

The music wasn't terribly inspiring or original. It seemed to be kind of Pearl Jam, straight up rock. No complaints about how Keanu was playing, but that kind of thing just ain't my bag, baby.

More power to him. I which more actors had that kind of zeal.

yeah, he made like $70 million on the matrix movies also, so he's loaded. but he doesn't go around, spending money on "bitches and wine" ( ), he donates a lot, ect. and actually isn't full of himself ;).

My roommate plays "Party all the time" often in our room.....I've grown to like it...along with Mr T's solo rap debut.

Does that make me a bad person?

Party all the time isn't THAT bad of a song. The music video is kind of funny though.

*sings party all the time in head*

FWIW, I was in a band that opened for Dogstar several years ago (around '93?) at a small club in Hollywood called Spice (now gone) when they were just starting out. Didn't meet or even talk with him at all, he was surounded at all times and I was just trying to make sure I didn't lose any of my stuff with so many people everywhere.

The place was packed with hotties, even somewhat during our set, though they had no real interest in our music. Or in theirs as it turns out (they were between bad and awful), he was not a very good bassist then, but I saw/heard something recently that was very much improved, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention but I'm certain he has made big progress.

I worked as Dogstar's stage manager/guitar-bass tech for most of their gigs the last 6-7 years. Haven't been working with Reeves since he's been in Becky, but I'm pretty familiar (to say the least) with most of his equipment, technique, and ability (not to mention him as a person). Happy to answer any specific questions (within reason) if anyone is still interested in this thread ...

How is he on his theory? Does he just live to get radical?
