Kemper Profiler Player - Pedal

Just saw this, looks awesome. I got to order one and see how it works for me.
Looks very interesting SW has the price at $698 so a bit outside my budget for now.
Must peruse the selections of bass amp profiles and the available effects.
Factory Rigs | Kemper Amps Hmm mostly the usual suspects with a few oddities but definitely a limited selection for bass.

Thanks for posting that.
Limited bass support is my main gripe with most of the newer hardware.
This is why I've held back on a high priced investment.
With the Kemper and the recently announced Boss IR-2, I'm hoping this is a harbinger of the next generation of modeling and profiling gear.
A Boss IR-2B to replace the GT-1B would be an instant buy, for example.
NAMM 2024 is only a month away.
We shall see.
I like the UI, much better than the HX Stomp IMO.
I think it's super important to have physical knobs to the gain, EQ and master.
Same as in the ToneX + effects.
I have the HX Stomp but I never use it because I hate paging through the UI to make kick changes when rehearsing or playing gigs.
I don't think I will buy one because it's still too expensive for me, but I could use it.

Definitely looking into this as I would like to have a modeler for those gigs when I don’t want to lug stuff.
However I have two problems with most modelers:
1. I’m okay with configuring things via phone or computer and spending time setting things up, but if I have to menu-dive to adjust eq or fix something for the room/space when playing live I won’t take it with.
2. Seems like many of these platforms have “libraries of thousands of tones generated by pros and the crowdsource community”. But the last thing I want to do is try to find something useable that way. Do any of them have the ability to model all of the signal chain (amp, can, effects) with full access to parameters so I can build things from scratch?
seems like this Kemper may be closest but I can’t tell from their verbose advertising if I can build tone from scratch and easily tweak on the fly. Can the Kemper do this or should I look elsewhere?

Definitely the Kemper Player has got me interested, I don't think I really need all the bells and whistles of the full fat Kemper for the live shows that I do generally. Might be handy in the studio though.
Thing is, I've seen a couple of Kemper Profilers for sale on eBay recently for around £750... Only £150 more and got the ability to create own profiles...
So now I'm thinking, brand new Kemper Player or used Kemper Profiler?

I have one. It's incredibly good for electric guitar. Bass, not sure yet. As far as adjusting on the fly at gigs, it is totally possible from the front of the unit and it will only get better. Each of the knobs (not foot switches) can have two functions. You can press each one and turn for the second function. It is by far the best unit I've ever owned sound-wise. I've owned Fractal, Quad Cortex, Helix, GT-1000 and many others. The Kemper sounds best right out of the box for electric guitar. They do include 5 bass rigs and 5 acoustic rigs, but they're based on electric guitar amps instead of bass amps and acoustic amps.

A late response but it sounds like you’d want a modeler or at least a device capable of modeling as opposed to a pure profiler like the Kemper. This is because on a modeler you have full access to all parameters of the model. On a profiling device you can eq and tweak somewhat after the fact but you’re not changing the profile. Think of it like eqing a recorded guitar tone.
Thanks. I gave up on this and went with an opus. Still not perfect but close.
Don’t want to derail the thread but the opus preamp sim, poweramp sim and of course cabsim are all really good. Does it beat my all tube amp side by side no. Is it indistinguishable in the context of a mix -yes about 90% of the time.
There's really nothing for bass to speak of out of the box on the Player. They really missed a great opportunity to do it right. Instead, they just used clean Fender amps with random cabs.
I made an Acoustic 360 and a Traynor YBA3A profile a few years ago, which I've loaded onto my player pedal. That, a B15 profile as well as clean & dirty V4B profiles and I'm all set in a single bank dedicated to bass.
