Just wondering if anyone has had any recent dealings with him,,,,

I tried calling him 3 times in the past year but he never called back and I also sent him 2 emails the past week to inquire,,,,,???

I like this bass on The Lowend,,,,,,

What do you guys think,???

I may spring on the fretted 4,,,,,it's an obvious copy of a Drozd though,,,,,,,,

hit him up on facebook. ken bebensee has been building since the early to mid 90's i think. i used to live in the same area of his shop when he was in san luis obispo. i doubt he ever saw a drozd when that bass was built.

Well, I think it's... not to my taste at all. If you don't care about not being able to get any response from Ken then go ahead. But from what I know (which is not necessarily a lot) Ken's been off the radar for a while now, with quite a few unhappy people who have waited a long time for their custom orders to be delivered.

I looked at a few Drozd basses and Ken copied it virtually down to the knob and toggle switch placements,,,,,

Still unique and I wouldn't mind having one in my collection,,,,,

like i said, ken has been using that shape since the mid 90's before everyone was on the internet and he was advertising his basses with a brochure.

My understanding is that dealing with him is extremely difficult. That said, if you have a bass in hand who cares if he answers emails? Dan Lenard has one as well.
