I'm currently listening to Brian Setzer's first solo album, The Knife Feels Like Justice, and I'm blown away by Kenny Aaronson's tone on this album.
I'm not all that familiar with his playing, or at least I think I'm not. I could be hearing him all over I guess.
Anyone familiar with his sound and how he gets it? This album is from '86 and the bass sounds huge!

That's a great and overlooked album after he left the Stray Cats! Kenny is on a ton of great recordings!

It is a great album. After listening to it on Spotify I went to eBay and bought a copy of it on vinyl. I think that would be the best way to listen to it.
That album proves my theory that Brian Setzer is waaaay more than just a Stray Cat....

Aaronson also has a couple of pages in Standing In The Shadows Of Motown...huge fan of Jamerson.
