Kick-Half-Ass Bridge

Long story short - I decided to trim this Hipshot Kick-Ass V/5 bridge a bit (Bad-Ass knock off). It looked huge and ugly on the bass IMHO, and I've never really bought into the high mass bridge thingy.

You are correct sir! This is a Hipshot Kick-Ass bridge, direct replacement for a Bad-Ass.

Agreed - haven't set it up yet ... just got done cutting the d@mn bridge in half.

What else did you change? A knob and some screws are missing!

I think the bridge looks 99.99% better.

You also could have bought a smaller much lighter simple bent steel base-plate bridge for $17.

Did it occur to you to set the bass up and get your intonation correct before cutting the bridge in half?

This should be hilarious....report back asap.

Definite improvement. I had that done to a knockoff Ric bass bridge to fit my bass uke modified to look like a walnut Ric bass.

Under what circumstances would you ever need 3" of saddle adjustment? I'm trying to understand the logic of making it that big in the first place. The original Badass wasn't that big, and it already has way more travel than needed. Maybe they were trying to make it fit in virtually any bass?

Please in the name of all that’s holy, put a standard Fender bridge on your bass ASAP.
What was the point of cutting your bridge? Couldn’t you just get a bridge that already
was what you wanted? That just looks weird.
