I really dig the new modern jazz. I own a multiscale Vanquish and a multiscale Zeus, both 4 string and I absolutely love them both. I've wanted a multiscale 4 string jazz bass as my 3rd for a while, but didn't want a pick guard or control plate. This new model has got my GAS flowing.

I did the honey and the lizard.

The multiscale modern looks slick too, and I actually probably would go that route. I just want to find out more about those bridge rails they are using. The biggest reason I like the non-multiscale modern is because it uses the Hipshot B bridge. I said many times the only reason I never got a Kiesel JB was because of that crap bridge they use and they would not install a Hipshot on it. Well now here we are

I've had my multiscale Vanquish with those same bridge rails for about 4-5 years. I've had zero issues except when I almost lost one of the black bridge pieces while changing strings. I contacted Kiesel to order replacement spare parts, when they sent me to Hipshot as they're straight up Hipshot hardware components. I've never needed to adjust the bridge other than adjusting intonation when changing to a different string gauge. The spare bridge rail is still in my parts drawer in case of emergency. Rock solid bridge system. Currently my avatar pic.

Now that I have effectively "scratched" my P-bass "itch", I have started thinking about adding a Jazz Bass to my arsenal at some point in the future.

An idea I kind of want to try is a J-style bass with the body contours carved-down a bit (think Sadowsky or Mike Lull "modern J"), with 21 or 22 frets, maple fretboard with black block inlays, '70's rear pickup position, and gloss colors reminiscent of '70's muscle car colors. Kiesel actually got pretty dang close to the concept with the "JB" model! Configured in "Ferrari Red" below:



And an Icon-4 in Moss Green over Spalted Flamed Maple that I call "Swamp Thing"!
