His bass player in that concert was a professional bassist from Whales. I saw his name mentioned in one of the comments but I forget it.I love it Mine is a similar look. I wonder if Gary Numan's bassist was Pino Pallandino? Pino slaps his fretless on Paul Young's "Stay for Good" and at least one Numan song that I can't recall the title to.

Sire first gen. and MIM Fender are of similar quality, but second gen Sire hits significantly higher (at least the one I have does).Nothing at all wrong with the MIM jazz.
If you found a nice one, they're likely better than the Sire or SBMM Sub, IMHO.
Agree, my 1st gen even almost as good as MIJ FenderSire first gen. and MIM Fender are of similar quality, but second gen Sire hits significantly higher (at least the one I have does).

The new Gen 2 Sire Fretless with the rolled fingerboard edges is an incredible bargain and one of my favorite Fretless basses regardless of price.

She's beautiful!I just bought a 2003 agave blue MIM fretless and so far I am loving it. I spent 3 years where I only played a 4 string fretless and I loved it. Unfortunately that bass was damaged beyond repair. I have a feeling this is going to be my daily player.View attachment 4284328
I know what you mean. When I get tired of playing fretless, I go play my upright.Fretless only here. I keep telling myself I should get a fretted bass just to have one, but I'd probably convert it anyway.
I just got a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Fretless Jazz Bass.
