I am thinking she is self taught on bass, but she grew up learning other instruments and how music works, like Marcus Miller.I didn't know Kinga is self taught, but her father is a long time pro player and maybe there are other musical family members as well.
Growing up in a musical environment is a big plus. I wish I'd had that opportunity as I'm sure many others do.
Not just knowledge of music but understanding and believing in the value of it.
It's harder to grow musicianship in a non-supportive environment.
But Kinga is talented and I think she would have flourished regardless of circumstances.
Her stagecraft and showmanship have made great strides. She's a pro who knows how to deliver a noteworthy live listening experience.
