This one wins the thread, but for real, sometimes I have to bite the bullet and play something that lets me make the changes for a beat or bar. Ever try reaching around with your left hand? That works if you have a couple of beats you can cheat on open strings. On the Jaguar, it's the opposite. I've had to modify a couple of my RH techniques slightly to avoid hitting the volume knob.
