Koa Ibanez ATK HS!!!

The one I was looking at just had a humbucker on it, but my word, the bridge was just too ugly for me!

If you like for strings, this is the best ATK by a mile! It really nails the active jazz tone while still getting the traditional ATK faux Stingray sound. If this came as a five, it would be 75%+ of a SR5 S/H for 35% of the price.

I'm glad actually - if it were a 5, GAS might atack again.....happy with my 305, but THAT model in a 5 would tempt me...

I am very happy with mine. I am, however, probably going to string it BEAD, put a new nut on it, and maybe rewire a couple positions on the 5-way switch that I have no use for. Of course, I wouldn't want to even bother if I didn't like the thing so much.

if it did come as a 5, I would sell my backup bass, and a few pedals that I planned on keeping, but I guess its a good thing it doesnt come in a 5

You can't go by what guys like Adam Blackstone or Gerald Veasley have, the Ibanez custom shop hooks them with stuff we regular folks can't get.

I had one for a while. Great bass, awsome construction. Killer tone. I was toying with the idea of making one a fretless. The price they have these @ on MF, I still might consider it.

FWIW, I reviewed one of these in issue #1 of Bass Gear Magazine, and I ended up liking it so much that I bought one for myself. At these prices, I feel like I should buy two more!

Seriously, folks, this is a really excellent, really versatile instrument. That is one crazy good deal!

i bought one on monday, somewhat to my surprise. For $350 I couldn't say no. it's coming tomorrow too!! I think am going to string it with super light bright SS strings for funk.

it should be a nice funky little brother to my '95 ATK305 [which is my favorite bass i have ever played]. So I will have a rock ATK and a funk ATK. {All thanks to a GAS attack haha}
