Double Bass Korg AW1 tuner

I'm a tune by ear guy most of the time. However you don't always get the quiet you need to tune by ear or on gigs I prefer to use a tuner (not that I'm play URB bass gigs yet)

Anyway has anyone used the Invalid Link Removed tuner? Does it work well for bass? Can that clamp make a secure connection with the bridge of the bass. Will it leave imprints on the bridge from the clamp?

Cheers

I searched and I didn't see that model mentioned anywhere in any of the TB forums, but maybe someone w/ experience will chime in. It looks rather nice, but a little big maybe? I dunno. Is it a new product perhaps?

For comparison purposes, I think I've seen references to similar type contact tuners from Intellitouch mentioned once or twice in this forum.

Someone (flatback?) mentioned once these type tuners were nice for practicing in thumb position and working on intonation, and I thought that was a pretty cool idea.

Just looking at the link again I see that it has two clip sizes. So I think that it would most likely fit well on a bass bridge. As for it's ability to work with a bass I still don't know maybe I should send korg an e mail. Further research has indicated it's range is from A0 to C8 and its for wind and string instruments. I think I'll give it a shot and see. STill if anyone has experience with it chime in.

Yea I owned one until I lost it at a gig...Best little tuner. Fits right on the bridge. I bought it to practice intonation with the bow. It lived in my gig bag. Clips on, accurate, no plugs. I miss it.
