Korg Pandora px4d or Similar

Evening all hope you well..... Im after some advise.. I caught the guitarist of my band tonight playing his guitar through a Korg Pandora px4d with headphones in before going on stage and he showed me what it does and thought it was a great way (like him) to have 10 mins out and warm up... Or even sit playing with out blasting out the house... So I'm looking to get one or somthing similar for use with bass. Nothing that's gonna break the bank.. Any advice would be great thanks..

Hi There,
I have a Px4B. Its a great little unit but it really eats up batteries. Some of the tones might not be up to par with the latest software/hardware gadgetry but it gets the job done and it has some nice features. You can link several drum patterns together, bass cancellation for jamming to an IPod, the ability to slow tracks down so you can figure parts out. I should probably use it to practice more than I do. ;) I'm not really up on the latest IPhone apps but I would think there are some comparable amp modeling apps? It would take up just about the same footprint.
I think Korg has discontinued the Pandora series. The last one I believe was the Pandora Mini or the Pandora stomp. These had both of the guitar amp and bass amp models but they were missing some of the bass specific features. But if you can find one used for a decent price?

Hi Dan,
There are a few preamp pedals that have the aux in/headphone out for silent practicing. My Gallien Krueger Plex for example but as the other poster said a smart phone and adapter could be the way to go especially if you already own a smartphone.

If you use an iPhone/iPad I recommend the app Anytune Pro + and an Apogee Jam. Works great and will play songs loaded in your iTunes library. You can slow songs down, loop sections, adjust volume of music separate from bass volume, and a bunch of other features.

Tascam also made a device called the guitar/bass trainer. I have one of those as well, but prefer the anytune app.

*Edit. Missed the part about having a Samsung. Don't know which app would be best, but I think the Apogee Jam came with both an apple lightning cable and micro USB for Android.
