Korg Px5d buzz when using headphones

Hi guys!!!

I recently purchased a Korg Px5d to practice without bothering anyone at home. I also purchased a cheap set of Behringer headphones (around $30).

When i plugged my bass into the pandora, i noticed this buzz on the left headphone whenever i played a low note. I thought, "ok, maybe these headphones cannot take low frequencies very well" as it sounds as if the speaker itself has reached its limit. The funny thing is that the buzz is only audible on the left speaker.

I've also tried the earbuds that came with my cel phone and while the buzz is much lower, it's still there. This happens with all effects on the pandora and to be honest, it's bugging me.

Could this be a malfunction on the px5d or is it a matter of me not having the right type of headphones for the little box?

Could you tell me if you have the same kind of problem and if not, what kind of headphones are you using?

Thanks a lot!!

I've got a similar problem, one ongoing the other new.

For the past 100 hours playing if the headphone 1/4" plug is moved in the PX4D socket, then always the loudest worst feedback sound results, louder than the bass and AUX volume, which is intrusive and deafening. No music or bass guitar can be heard at that time. I have to throw off the headphones when this happens. Adjusting the 1/4" plug is the only way to kill that sound. It first happened in a band practice and the rest of the lads were hardly pleased. I've put up with it for now, but can't risk performing with it. It is a connection problem, and when I opened the case I couldn't see how to fix it because of the modularity of that socket part. Am wondering whether to contact Korg, though I bought it in the USA and I now live in the UK, so it put me off til now.

Anyone have experience with returning stuff to Korg?

The other sound which I noticed today was a fuzziness in the left channel, particularly when the bass was heavy. I don't know what could have caused this and I'm interested to hear other people's experiences with it.
