FOR THIS KRAMER USED IN HOUSE PICKUPS, SOMETIMES EVEN MIGHTY MITE PICKUPS TOO. THERE IS NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF REPLACEMENTS, BUT CERTAIN EMG'S MIGHT FIT.

I just put EMGs in my Kramer, major improvement! Should have done it 20 years ago! It was a tight fit, but I managed to cram them in without any cutting, filing or routing.

i'm assuming the kramer pickup covers don't fit on replacement pickups?

Let me know what works - I am unable to find any pups that are the same diminsions, 1-½"x3", as original for my Kramer 450B. Seems all pups are min 3-½' length. I am not sure if I will be happy with the tone/sound by upgrading preamp only.

I am curious - did anyone find out which EMG pups fit?
They all seem to be 3.5" or more.

To answer my own question - the EMG HB pickup fits, though mine required a little Dremel work to get the ears in. The control cavity is huge, so no problem fitting the battery harness in there. I had to use an Allparts deep stereo jack, which fits perfectly.

Fantastic upgrade! The EMG HB is basically a P-Bass pickup, and sounds terrific.

Reviving a super old thread. Thinking of picking up a 450b but would like to throw some modern passive humbuckers in. Any ideas of what would fit?
