I saw this bass in the most recent issue of Bass Player with John Paul Jones on the cover. It is $529 list. Stingray style basses always get my attention.
I am guessing these are not highly distributed in the USA. They sound good to me, especially with this young lady playing one!
I picked one up recently from Sweetwater. They revamped the pickup from an EMG/BTS to a SD SMB-4D wired in parallel (v/v/t) and passive. It's dead quiet and the countersunk bridge allows for action that I wouldn't normally expect from a $500 bass. I don't know if Mr. Lobster has reviewed it, but I'd be interested on his take.
Sweetwater had 4 of these less than a month ago. All were less than 7.5 lbs...
