Labella 760 FS... bad strings?

I've had 2 strings break on me in the past 3 months. On the first set, my E string popped at the bridge. So i bought a new set and 10 minutes into their 3rd show, the G string pops near the bridge.

I don't string through the body, I don't pluck particularly hard, and I don't pluck close to the bridge (I stay right above the pickup).

Am I getting bad batches of strings? Can anyone comment on their experience with quality control of their Labella flats?

I've had a Labella double-ball flats G break at the bridge after one week of light use. There were no external stresses to blame for it. Customer service doesnt answer emails. Nuff said.

They are excellent at answering the phone, however. Seriously.

I have had many sets of La Bella strings. None bad.

What kind of bridge do you have? La Bellas don't seem to do well if the break angle is too steep, and they recommend not going through the body (I know yours doesn't).

I've got a gotoh 201 bridge. The saddles aren't very high.

Maybe I'll give them a ring and see if they can ship me a new G string...:smug:

I've been having breakage issues with LaBella too. Got a 760FS set and the E popped at the post just tuning up to pitch. Customer service took care of it, but I had to wait like a month for a replacement.

My last 3 M70 sets, the G popped at the post for no reason. What's going on with them?
