Figured my situation might be fairly unique, since I have a not-as-common bridge setup on my bass. Searched for over an hour on here to no avail. I'm particularly fond of the LaBella HRS's- their tension, tone, feel, and that sexy black silk on the tapered end. I have a Hipshot D style bridge and tailpiece installed to give it that Alembic/Warwick vibe. This is the first set of LaBellas that I've tried installing on it, previously had D'Addario long scale ProSteels & DR long scale Black Beauties on with no issues. For the LaBellas, I think the tapered ball end of the B string sits fine, but it's cutting it MIGHTY close with the silked end. Ball to silk end is 37", maybe a little more when tight, and length from string anchor point to nut is 37". First time with this issue and fairly new to 5 string & 35" scale, hoping someone with more experience in this department can lend their .02c. I'd just order an extra long scal- oh wait, LaBella discontinued their HRS/Stainless Steel line for the Rx series . Exhibit A of my luck in a nutshell lol. Attached some pics for reference. TIA!
