Just got these on. These are a limited run set of tapewounds with silver wrap wire (as opposed to the typical offerings of gold, copper, and steel) and the colored silk helixes. It's a bit too late to plug in, but they sound very good unplugged. The high end is more brilliant than I expected. Chords sound great. They feel amazing, smooth and very flexible, just how I like it, and they look cool too.

Hmmm. From the pictures and the description, they appear to be different colored wrap on the same core as the regular White Tapes, as was the blue version some years ago. Can anybody confirm?

You may very well be right, although I seem to remember the ad copy saying something about a silver wrap wire, and it does look more white than a stainless wrap. I thought the standard white tapes had stainless wrap wires. I've only ever had the copper prior to these. I did get to play them this morning amplified and they sound really good.
