Labella Talkin Bass Tapewound alternatives

Well, after stringing my Aria FEB with tapewounds, I think I'm in love! The sound, the texture, the easy mwah (or not!). I have found "MY" perfect fretless string. My fingers love them!!!

Fast-forward to this past weekend: I decided to get a SpectorCore Fretless. Apparently, the piezo does not like tapes or coated.

Yes, I have seen the multiple threads, but I did not see any clear winners!
Which string most closely resembles the feel and tone of tapewounds, but metal-wound? Flats don't quite feel right. Perhaps Sunbeams? Lo-Riders Nickel? I'd appreciate any opinions, specially those of other SpectorCore users.

Depends on where the Piezo is located... If in the saddles yes... if under the bridge go for tapes!

For the proper operation of the Fishman piezo bridge pickup system the strings used must be standard metal. Coated or tape wound strings will not work.
