Wondering if anyone could tell me why there's a C maj chord in this song (fairly certain the song's in A Major). It's in a few places - one ex: "See how they ruuuun" . It doesn't seem to be pivot modulation in either case and my theory knowledge isn't the best. Any help would be awesome.

The B section, "Friday night..." moves the song from Amajo to C major.

Dm G7 C Am etc all C major

"See how they run" moves it back to A major starting on C the moving to Bmin E7 and back to A to start again.

Bm E7 A is a ii V7 I in Amajor.
