NBD - Fender American Professional Classic

Congrats on your new bass. That green and tort combo looks great to me.
Isn't that color combo amazing?!
Thanks for the comparison How is the gig bag? They have about four different options ranging from cheap/basic to pretty nice. Any chance you can post pictures of it?
It's trash. Barely any padding. Prepare to use something else unless you have no choice. It's better than nothing of course!

I seen you're reluctant to buy online. BUT, if you were to reconsider that approach you can find good ones rather easily and in the $1300 ballpark.
"Online" doesn't give locals jobs, contribute to the local tax base, offer lessons, or support local little league teams and charities.

The Coastline '62 Jazz pickups just became available on Fender's website. Alnico-V, lowish DCR (despite the "overwound" marketing), enamel wire. A more "normal" inductance figure than the PV '64 and PV '66 (I still don't understand how both those sets are only 2.5 henries)...

I was really impressed with those coastline pickups.

I've just moved off Fender in general lately, especially with all the lawsuits they have been sending to everyone - but they did a good job on these PBasses and I think a lot of people needing a P will enjoy them.
