I did not know Lakland made a USA PJ version of their 55-64. I was just looking at Sweetwater and saw it. There are very videos of it on YouTube, but I hear sounds pretty good.

You have good taste, Laklands are cool.I like it. But I love Laklands.
The US models are. Laklands are excellent basses. IMHO, the best necks in the business. I have yet to play a nicer neck! Warrior and Modulus necks are up there too. It's interesting. Lakland basses are supposedly manufactured in Chicago's Ravenswood area. But even as a local company, it is rare to see one. From what I've heard, they are very nice basses.
Makes me wonder if the background track for the video was not the one they were playing along with when recording the bass line. Or maybe re-added later but stretched/shrunk to make it match on timing? All I know is the out-of-tune was way too distracting for me.I like the way the bass sounds, but is it out of tune? Sounds like a lot of notes are a bit sharp, but what do I know?
I bet it's killer. My early USA Glaub is possibly the best built bass I've ever owned. Incredible neck.
Don't love the relic'ing though on the Sweetwater ones....
Seemed that it is or the track he’s’ playing to is flat.I like the way the bass sounds, but is it out of tune? Sounds like a lot of notes are a bit sharp, but what do I know?
Absolutely, the finish clear cote on a Lakland 55-94 custom color. is extremely resilient mine aren’t showing any sign of faking, pealing or checking after 25 years.I dislike the relic’ing too. Leave that to Fender.

I think, if my "beloved" Fender MIM J5's truss rod nut can't be fixed and I have to sell it, the Lakland would be at the top of my shopping list. The US models are. Laklands are excellent basses.
