I don't know what particular style of truss rod nut lakland uses during that era, cylinder? Cross nut? What makes you think its not original?
Thanks for the info, i've only ever owned the skyline sk5dx, that one comes with spoke wheel truss rod nut. They have always used a hex bolt truss rod nut. That looks to be what is there.
Ackshually, they did have the "vintage style" flathead screwdriver ones on the earlier basses- my '99 had it (got it swapped out), and I've seen earlier ones with it as well. Not sure when the switch happened, but glad it did. They have always used a hex bolt truss rod nut. That looks to be what is there.
So mine is a '99, probably the previous owner swapped it right?Ackshually, they did have the "vintage style" flathead screwdriver ones on the earlier basses- my '99 had it (got it swapped out), and I've seen earlier ones with it as well. Not sure when the switch happened, but glad it did.
