Lakland Mai-Tai Burst Refinish

Getting my US Lakland 4-07 refinished! It has a very cool and unusual grain pattern, and I wanted something that really highlights it. I have sent the body to Pat Wilkins and it's in the process right now. Pat is awesome at nailing these colors...last time I worked with him, I mocked up a particular trans orange for my Jazz bass, and he hit it right on the nose! It's now offered by Lakland as "Markus Orange". Very excited about Pat performing his finishing voodoo on this one!

Thanks dudes! Mosty bored..there was a small clear coat crack that you couldn't really notice unless you where in the right light...figured I'd get it fixed, and do something cool while we were at it.

+1 on the assumption that you were going to refinish the Marcus Orange Jazz.

I was relieved when I read deeper and realized that was not the case. I'm looking forward to seeing the results, that's a crazy grain pattern that deserves an eye popping color.

Pat sent me this photo...and I am so stoked!! Damn he's good!!! It's headed to Lakland to get wired back up, and then going back to Cali! I love it...Pat is the voodoo master of bass finishing!
