looks a bit radical as compared to the DJ. Somehow resembles a heavily modded Sadowsky. What is this bass, neverseen one like this, a "C..."?

I dig the headstock a lot.. and I still have the bass on order. And when I talked to Tim, he said he has a lot of respect for Lakland and what they do. Tim's a great guy and I'm pumped for my CallowHill P-bass with Lakland pickup.

it's look like late september now on the sonic blue... it's all good though. Lakland's customer service is second to none. And now with this one, I'll have a fretted bass in the arsenal while I'm waiting

thats a hot bass for sure, ive never been a huge sunburst fan but it really looks great.

im gonna buy another u.s. lakland after all this studio time is out of the way.

im gonna sell one of my 4-94's to help with the purchase.

That's not slowliness, you're taking the advantage of the most wide possibilities of the preamp. To get only one tone or two from the 55-94 is not quite a waste of the bass but definitely a loss for the bass player.
What kinds of gigs do you play, are you actually going to take 3 basses for one set?

I agree that it IS a loss to not utilize the Lakies' different preamps. But, they sit so perfectly in the mix set flat. I never needed to tweak 'til the other day. I don't think I can get the dual Chi-bucker/LH3 tone from my Bart J/MM pup/pre equipped 55-94, and vice versa. So, yeah I may take all 3 to gigs sometime.
