HOLY CRAP not 24 hours later after my first Lakland, I just ordered a DJ in black sparkle  I was going to go with the Lake Placid but black is my favorite color for a bass so I couldn't help myself.

I blame all of you for this ;)

Stupid Musician's Friend 20% off special and 12 months no payments or interest :help:

Since I only live 2 hours SW of Chicago I'm going to have to take a trip to Lakland and smack them errrrrr I mean thank them for making such an awesome product. :D

NOYCE!!!

Dude...you so fit in!

OH MAN!!!! I keep forgetting how BEAUTIFUL that bass is....that is a GREAT comnbo......love ebony necks...Dan is not thrilled with the fretted ebony neck...he thinks it makes the bass sound harsh...what sayeth you????

I don't know that I'd be a very good authority to answer this, because I play through an NV610, which is sealed, and has no tweeter or high frequency driver, so there's an inherent loss of high end.

But I love the tone I get, it's very clear, and very detailed with the Lakland pickups and LH3 preamp.

I need some new ones, but here are mine again...

Oh schnap! You're in big-time now.:D Dang, MF is still running that? Must. Resist.

If you come to Chicago, give Doug (basspraiser) and I a shout. My job and my apartment are both within 20 minutes of Lakland.

That's what I understood. I think some people were uneasy about the Chi cover shape
