When I first purchased my BG last Sept., I was contemplating refinishing the bass in Daphne Blue or Sonic Blue because I already have two other basses in Sunburst and was really wanting a retro solid color. I had actually set up an apt. with a local luthier to refinish the bass but had to wait 6 weeks to get in the cue. During that time I just fell in love with Lakland's sunburst and how well it compliments the tort they use. Well, here it is 6 months later and I have no intention of changing anything exempt strings when the time is right.

So diggin' it JJ!
. No more muddy higher register chords.Thanks. You get partial credit of course, your mockup let me know how hot she'd look.
Those Dunlop nickels that you recommended have better highs and really help make this bass sound the way I want it too. No more muddy higher register chords.
Classic is in style for every dude! Very nice!
I've been really diggin' the Sea Monster but the single coil ChiSonic in my house were buzzing like crazy. The wiring in my house is 60 years old, and tortured by my Decade. Just too much to live with.
It now has a Lakland P pickup in it and a new guard form Jeannies! The tort is different then the standard. More brown, and has more contrast. Totally fits this bass perfectly! And I am so surprised with this pickup. Very thick while have killer highs, and note definition like no other P pickup I have heard! I think I'm a P bass convert!
Noyce! What did you do with the Chi?
