Is that a Fiesta red? Looks great!
That's It! Put it on the website.![]()
It's not fiesta red. I ordered as a custom color and asked them to put a shade of red similar to Fender's Dakota red.
Any idea what the sound card is in your computer? That would be good to know as well. It definitely sounds like a cable and/or impedance issue to me... that would account for the really hot, yet low volume signal. You'll need to understand the difference between balanced (+4dB) and unbalanced (-10dB) signals, as well as the difference between input types (mono and stereo). Though stereo inputs and outputs often use the same TRS (tip, ring, sleeve ==|]>) connectors as balanced cables, they are different. A balanced input/output is not stereo... it's mono. So, if you're plugging a balanced signal (your DI) into a stereo jack (your computer line in), it's a mismatch. You're not connecting to a device (ie. a PA or mixing console/audio interface) that is really intended for a balanced DI output to be plugged into it... you're going into a computer.
Since I'm not sure exactly what card you're plugging into on your computer, I can't say for sure, but typically most consumer grade stuff expects unbalanced inputs (stereo TRS, or mono TS... Tip, sleeve ==|>). Depending on the input of the card, it may be stereo (in the case of a line in) or mono (like a mic input). Computer sound cards also generally don't have a lot of headroom to be able to handle a lot of input signals very well... especially hotter ones, and their A/D conversion typically blows as well. Cutting the volume of the input will only partly fix the problem. Does the soundcard have RCA inputs or just the 1/8"?
If you don't have a card or audio interface with a balanced input, you might have better luck trying the effects Send Out from your amp into your computer... though it may still be too hot. Otherwise, a Google search for "1/4" balanced to unbalanced" might unearth other options.
Longer story short, to achieve good results, you'd be much, much better off with an actual audio interface rather than going straight into your computer audio card.
Hope this makes sense/helps.
He he he! Well..Dan named the orange. I'll have to run it past him![]()
Hey guys, I forgot to mention how UPS almost screwed up the delivery of my 2 HS cases the other day (the silver P bass cases that I showed pics of)...
So, I wait all day, they finally arrive arround 6:15PM. He drove by my house, had to turn around(I was already laughing on the inside), parks, then runs to the door looking just like this guy from Reno 911 (and I mean JUST LIKE!!).

He hands me a large envelope and tries to run off!!!
I had to holler at him, "Hey, this isn't right!" to keep him from running away and driving off! Then I look at the envelope and say, "and I'm not Amanda!!":scowl: I mean GOOD LORD!!! Good thing 1) I was home, 2) knew my package was coming, and 3) was able to catch the guy at the door before he dropped it and ran!
He said he had the wrong "my street name" package. YA THINK? Maybe you oughtta know your job, AND DO IT!!
I think I'll start a UPS nightmare thread, and then emaill UPS a link.
Thanks a good idea!

Maybe I should name it Markus Red.![]()
Royce Red!
I'm just kidding around. I was just impressed that your orange JO made such an impact.
And don't forget the blue "Mr Matt-Burst".
That seems kinda wrong though.
