What's the toggle for?

That's an Audere preamp.

I have one on my JO5.

The 3 position toggle is for a Z-Mode switch.

It changes the load (impedance) on the pickups.

Check Audere's website for the explanation...

I wish! For me, work has been really busy lately.

However, I did catch a friend's band last night at a small club. The bass player from one of the other bands used a black Skyline DJ. I didn't care much for the band, but the DJ sounded good and snarly! The guy played fingerstyle the whole time, and yet the bass held its own against two Les Pauls.

This past week I surprised Mrs. Roadkill after a rough day in court with a couple of barbecued elk steaks (with a herbal rub of my own devising), quinoa and barbecued veggies, with a fabulous Shiraz we bought several years ago on a wine tour in BC.

No Lakland action lately, but I just picked up my first pedals: a TU-3 tuner and a Xotic RC Bass Booster, both of which were wickedly-priced due to the fact that the Canadian dollar is kicking a*s and taking names. I'll let you know how the Booster works out onstage...

BTW - got a new computer for the office upstairs and the "old one" is finally downstairs - so - as I type this my Lakies are looking over my shoulder...all sans one which is at Pats....

all I can say is better than the "original" in my opinion!!
