She's bought me about three basses since we've been married and we've only been married for three years.
1. Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn 5 natural/rosewood as a
wedding present which I returned for a Lakland Skyline 55-01
natural/rosewood.
2. Lakland Skyline 55-01 natural/lined fretless as a
first anniversary present which I sold to purchase
my EBMM Bongo 5 single H.
3. EBMM Bongo 5 HH as a second anniversary present.
4. Carvin B5 (#2) jointly purchased by my wife and parents for
Christmas '09.
Since I'm a full-time bass player, there is justification for equipment purchases and support from my family.

Really diggin' it!
very nice!! were did yo get it?
1st 5 = five strings
2nd 5 = 35" scale
CS = Chisonics
That, I did not know...thx!
so how do 5501 and 5502 fit into that "product code?"
I'd say that's a pretty safe assumption, since the second pair of digits is year-based in the rest of the naming scheme.01 - released in 2001, 02 released in 2002 ???? this is an assumption
The headstock seems thicker than the Skylines I've had, which ought to be good for several reasons: strength, tone...
Yeah...I'm sure they're stock Laklands. Have you tried Dunlops nickels? (I know...I push them all the time, but they're killer)
I gets lots of delicious zing when I want it with my ChiSonic equipped J bass. I think you need to change the stings.
That is hotness, my friend. Congrats.Coral Pink

Really diggin' it!
They have the silver wrap that makes me think "stock lakland nickels," but, maybe gecko or butler can answer that more definitively...
