I've seen that some guys wont buy a lakie cause of the 35 scale.

i own both 34 and 35 and i prefer the 34 but when i played the lakland it didnt feel that long. i guess because everything is thrown towards the bridge so it doesnt feel that long. am I wrong?
i have a 34 warwick that feels super long cause the way they are made.

excuse my ignorance but what is the diference between the JOE OSBORN and the D.J.

some people can really feel the difference...for me...the 35" is comfortable....

as for the diffeence between a DJ and a JO the body on the DJ is slighltly smaller and there is a difference in the number of frets...also, the DJ has 70s pickup spacing where the JO has 60s pickup spacing.....

lastly - I have heard that the Dj os easier to slap which I believe because I have owned both and cannot slap at all but was able to "pluck" a little on my DJ4 but cannot on my JO5....(lack of talent on my part!)

the 55-02 is one of the most versatile basses out there.....

good luck in your decisin making process but a warning: once you buy a Lakie more are on the way!!!

DD chromes huh? you like them? I have rounds on both of my fretless basses...more MWAH IMHO....

no picture of a lakie is "lousy".....

congrats on being their first sale as well...that is special!

I was going to really give roundwounds a try. I made it for about 4 hours before I put on a new set of DD chromes.

i do have small hands plus i'm short so I think if I had a 32 would be perfect but when I play the 35 I do not find it imposible it is just more jumping arround with the hand.

I wish I could just go buty that lakland righ now but my wife would kill me; so i'll just wait for my birthday and make it my gift. hehe.
