That black on black is sharp. What's the hardware? It doesn't look like black or chrome. I like that effect though, and I want to look for it live to see if it's as cool-looking in person as it came out in the photo.

The 55-02 fretted and fretless are stock (except for doude-inspired knobs on the cherry)
The 55-01 has Nordy dual-coils. This week, I put Mike Pope's FlexCore pre in (vol/bal/passive tone/stack bass-treble/stack lomid-himid), and added 3-way coil selection switches. Tonal bliss.

Gorgeous family - do you have a sound clip? I'd love to hear what it sounds like with the changes in place.

Sounds like a great pre ... I'll look into that.

Here's a clip of my first show with my LOG bass from back in April! This particular band gets together about once a year for a benefit fund raiser in the name of a young lady who was tragically killed in an accident involving a drunk driver. She was a great friend of ours, and our bands sorta came up together. I grew up with these guys, and we get back together every year to do this show...

In the second song of the clip, the young lady's former bandmate comes up to sing....forgive her, she's a little pitchy, but it's all there!

The LOG can do catchy punk/pop!

Thanks! That was the LOG bass straight into my all tube Ampeg SVT-IIpro through an SWR 6x10... in its road case the head weighs as much as a Volkswagen, but I just love the way it sounds...haven't gone micro yet
