Now that I think about it, when I did test out that DJ, it was extremely easy to slap and pop. It just felt natural and it sounded amazing. Man I want one. I really want a US DJ, but might have to settle for a Skykine.

Always happy to spend OPM....Having played several Skylines and "touched" a few US DJs (never plugged them in)....I can say that the Skyline DJs are really nice....no "settle for"....just "settle in" for a great bass!
so...you photo losses huh? I used to work for a very large commercial insurance company myself...performed appraisals for them USUALLY before a loss but sometimes after...

Thanks Doug... I photo fire scenes, then put the arsonist in jail... But thats after I have to put the fire out... But that's only when I'm not on TB back at the station.......Kinda like right now... lol
I love that candy apple red Joe Osborn and I've never like candy apple red. Something about it just looks so right. Is it a US or Skyline?
Either talk me down from the ledge or push me over: I have 2 44-02D's on with the Barts and one with the LH3. I rarely play the one with the Barts because the LH3 just kills it, so my LH3 set up and my Duck Dunn are my primaries. I'm gassing for a 44-60. Do I really need a Jazz to have all of my bass Bases covered? Is there any real advantage to have the 2 44-02's? I love the thought of the P, the J and the MM/J in the stable, it just seems like the trinity would be complete...Help...

and then, if you got those covered
something unique to keep from getting bored with the other stuff - (HB, acoustic, upright, U-bass, whatever)

I'm a bass polygamist...one just doesn't do it for me. A 44-02 gets really close to so many sounds, but I have to have more than one...
I've been paying for all that therapy, and it turns out I really DO respect myself. Wow, that is great news!
Kidding, of course. But I agree with Gary, as I usually do, that it is nice to have all those bases covered. I like having a fretless, too.
Texan, I'd sell the extra 44-02 if the one with the LH3 is the one you are always gonna' play. There are likely a lot of people out there who would really like to have the Bart equipped one. Cash on hand is always good when your mouth is watering for something new.

It's already listed in the for sale section. I love the look and the sound, but I just bonded more with my LH3 equipped TSB 44-02D...Now I just have to decide on a sunburst 44-60 custom or a white 44-60 and add block decals to it...
I'm guessing US from the stacked knobs. But, US or Skyline, there's something so darn righteous about Lakland's CAR finish! The depth is amazing.
I shall respectfully disagree with the gentlemen from Montreal and Utah and say that everyone needs a P bass--two, really! One with rounds and one with flats. And try to have one of them come with a Dark Star
ETA: Consider a Decade as well. Lotsa tonal flexibility with those pickup locations.
On a more serious note, I've got the vintage (my favorite category
) covered with 2 Ps and a Ric, and the unique thing going with an HB. J basses I just don't get along with. I tried "modern" with an MM and it didn't take. I could see giving that another go in the future, maybe an active PJ...- Status
