Thanks, Dan!Beeeeeeeeeeeautiful Greg!! Love CAR on the HB.![]()
That is interesting. I have more anecdotal info on this.Just noticed the pole positions on our Darkstars are in different positions.
Guessing Lakland did the install on yours?
They did the install on the one I have too.
Weird?

Thanks, Dan!
That is interesting. I have more anecdotal info on this.
With two-pickup Lakland basses with Dark Stars (Decades and HBs), the placement has typically been as it is with your HB--they face opposite ways. My HB is a Skyine, but it was originally owned by a lady who worked for Lakland in marketing, so she may have gotten a custom placement.
Now, I had a Skyline Glaub with a DS, and it was positioned with the pole pieces towards the bridge. But my US Dunn with DS has the pole pieces towards the neck. Then again, that bass, too was originally owned (and built) by a Lakland employee, one of the luthiers, so he may have positioned it to his liking as well.
You guys are not helping with all this HB talk, but I guess I started it up againYou're gonna make me pull a Dan!
