You should know by now.....I am a hopelessly incorrigible flirt. Of course I have to tease - it's in my DNA. Speaking of tease...these will be making an appearance in Chicago.

How can you miss me if I don't go away from time to time? :p

Send me a pic of the entire ensemble ;)...All of the beautiful women over here wear boots like those...Of course on Saturday all of the women will be dressed like the ghosts in Pac-Man...I should have brought a bass with me. I'm so freakin bored.

Domkirken Cathedral...Built in the early 12th century...they need a Lakland in the stonework....

Everytime I walk around this church, Black Sabbath songs go through my head...it's awesome.

It finally clicked into my, the only Texans I would know that would go to Norway on business would be in the oil & gas industry? True?

By the way, you hearing any local Nordic/Viking Rock while you are out there?

Give the man a prize!!!

Ironically no Nordic or Viking rock. The majority of gigging local bands play hard and classic rock. Stavanger is a big Jazz town. Oddly enough, Brad Paisley is here next month and no one has a clue who he is.

Cool thing I found out last trip and confirmed this trip is that my family name originated in this region of Norway over 1000 years ago. I wondered since the first visit why I felt so at home here....

Thanks for the cool pics man!

I am enjoying your trip!

so...when do we start seeing sand dunes?

I think we need a "Lakie mummy" escapes type picture!

My ancestors are from "somewhere" in Germanic country...no clue where...wish I knew more about where...been there 3 times ...visited alot of different areas...so "maybe" I as near my ancestoral home land....

Are there ever any used Darryl Jones 4, American built sold? Can't even find new ones at music123, and other online dealers.

I have found that there are always tons of Skylines listed for sale.
As far as the US Lakland basses are concerned, you will find them popping up every once in awhile.
The best thing to do is gather the funds....set them aside and sit tight and watch and watch and watch.
Then when THE ONE surfaces you are ready to pounce on it!! :D
Good luck finding "The One" :D :bassist:

Great advise. I've a feeling it's gonna take a minute to gather that kind of scratch.

I hear THAT :(

But also you can sometimes get lucky.
Meaning approach the seller to maybe hold the bass for you on a deposit. Maybe like $200 to hold it for a few week term, to let them know you will buy it.
THEN list enough bass to cover most of the US Lakland cost.
Basses in clean shape for good prices usually sell fast here on TB.
Allowing you to wrap the deal quickly with the seller and get your new bass :D :hyper::bassist:

This worked for me when buying 5 US Laklands within short days :D
I sold off a good amount of my line up to get them.
But I got them :)

Yep, I'm seeing some cool places, went to a beautiful Graveyard last night. But yes, I'm traveling alone and Norwegians are not the most talkative people. So as Kim Jong Il said in Team America..."I'm so ronery, so ronery and sadry arone..."

there are a VERY few US versions out there...I am guessing less than 15 at than point...so they are rare!

The Skyline versions are VERY good....excellent quality...so look into those. they pop up with some frequency.

it WORKS for you because you can sell ANYTHING fast!

you got seller's luck for sure!
