black pearl is sweet. I've seen a handful of pictures kickin around here, including the one below, now :)

but for me, it's more of a gray color overall vs black. Then again, I figure...I could do a Mike Quick black and silver sparkle.. It would be my 5th quick guard, third of which is sparkle :) Is there such thing as too much sparkle?! Perhaps. But it would be sweet...so many good choices! Matte, tort... or sparkle?!

(example of black with silver sparkle in the 2nd link...)

As Gary noted I'm a big fan of matte black on black, but have you considered black pearl? It would go nice with the chrome hardware :)

On the LH3 midrange frequency selection chart there a 9 listed. 225, 250, 275, 450, 500, 550, 600, 900, 1100. There are more combinations with the 4 DIP switches. I wonder if anyone knows what frequencys the other combinations are, if any?
I think there should be 7 more combinations for a total of 16 if my math is correct. I can't be the only one to have wondered about this.

Peace
Dave

Come on, some one must know. Doug, Markus, anyone?

not a Lakland owner yet. But I've got a trade pending for this:

Basspraiser, RumblebeeAL has pretty much gone the 4 string route, so I may have to include you in my will for my Inca Silver Skyline Scheff 5. I don't think there's another TB'er who would love it more than you if I weren't around to love it. Bad news for you though, I'm in pretty good health, and the Tornados that are hitting the Mobile, Alabama area each week keep missing me!

New pickguard! Huge thanks to a kind man for sending me the template. I reshaped it a tiny bit before sending it off to mike quick for cutting. Looks great!

I just wish the picture showed accurate color of the bass.

Hi, few days ago I purchase my second Lakland, it's NOS 2010 44-02 Deluxe Natural with Rosewood Board, got it with fair amount of discount :hyper:
The short story, My local bass store went out of bussiness :crying: , so, they had this clearance sale, and I'm fortunate enough to get this 44-02 :hyper:, the only problem is, the front coil of MM pickup is kinda fail, I can't barely hear a thing if it's solo'ed. So I ask them to give me another discount, since they out of bussiness and never bother to send the bass to lakland, they agree, double discount for me..yay!!.I always wanted to have 44-02 with a pair of Basslines pickup ( I already have a 55-02 with lakland hanson pickup), so, the problem is solved.. :D

here it is,

Well, look like I'll finally become a Lakland owner again. I had to make sure I found the right one. LOL This baby is a 1996 model with the smaller bart pups....I was told the smaller ones spank more. I would always pick it up when visiting the shop and play more than the other basses. I'm a 34" scale guy, but gotta feeling this bass is gonna become my workhorse. Also, I'm a rosewood guy, but I always find myself enjoying the maple boards on Laklands better.
